Authorities have released the name of the man killed in a shooting on Evansville’s East Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 23-year-old Trey Leavell died after being shot outside the Kimber Green Apartments during the noon hour Tuesday.

Evansville Police later arrested a teenage suspect for Leavell’s death, 16-year-old Noah Hogan.

The EPD says Hogan was waived to adult court and faces charges including Murder, Criminal Recklessness, and Obstruction of Justice.

It’s not clear what led to the deadly shooting in broad daylight.

First responders found Leavell wounded on a sidewalk in the unit block of Kimber Lane, north of the Lloyd Expressway.
