March Weather: Hot One Day, Cold the Next

NWS Paducah

Temperatures reached the upper 80's on Sunday in the Evansville area; by Monday morning it was 37.

The Tri-State is seeing another dramatic change in the weather. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

You might call it “meteorological March Madness.”

The National Weather Service recorded temperatures in the upper 80’s Sunday afternoon.

Monday morning, the Evansville area was nearly 50 degrees cooler with wind chills around 30.

The mercury began to fall Sunday evening as a cold front pushed through the Tri-State.

Some areas saw strong thunderstorms as the front passed.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30’s Monday night before another warming trend begins.

The mercury is predicted to reach the mid-80’s on Thursday.
