The National Weather Service is calling for a sunny, mild day on Saturday followed by big changes on Sunday.
Forecasters have placed the Evansville area at a Level 3 – or enhanced risk – of severe storms on Sunday.
The agency is predicting widespread damaging winds and the possibility of spin-up tornadoes.
The storms will usher in much colder air Sunday night through Wednesday with single digit wind chill readings possible Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Light snow accumulations are also even possible Sunday night and Monday.
Forecasters urge everyone to stay alert and be sure your phone is set to receive weather warnings.
