More Severe Storms Possible in Tri-State

NWS Paducah

After a round of strong storms Wednesday morning, more storms are headed to Evansville

Another round of severe storms is expected to roll through the Tri-State Wednesday afternoon. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

A morning round of storms prompted forecasters to issue multiple Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, as gusty winds and heavy rain hit the Evansville area.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service says an approaching cold front may bring more severe storms with damaging winds of 60 to70 m.p.h, a threat of one-inch hail, and possible spin-up tornadoes.

Forecasters say after the front passes, the severe weather threat will end and temperatures will fall.

The next chance of rain is expected Sunday.
