At least three people face charges after an early morning disturbance at Burdette Park. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the park early Sunday where a fight had broken out at one of the park’s cabins.
The sheriff’s office says witnesses reported an argument escalated into a physical altercation during which Colin Minton allegedly struck and injured another person.
While responding to the fight, a supervisor observed a vehicle with two people inside connected to the disturbance – including Minton and Kyle Fravel.
Deputies at the cabin in Burdette Park identified Shane Hendrix as another individual involved in the incident.
Deputies later located Hendrix during a traffic stop.
The sheriff’s office says Hendrix admitted to brandishing a firearm during the fight and later firing the weapon into the air outside the cabin.
While being processed at the county jail, deputies say they found a folded dollar bill containing about one gram of cocaine in Hendrix’s pocket.
Deputies also reported finding marijuana in Fravel’s vehicle.
Deputies arrested Minton, Fravel, and Hendrix -- and they say more arrests are possible.
