Clocks move forward one hour this weekend for the return of Daylight Saving Time

The Tri-State and most of the U.S. will “spring forward” this weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

(Music: The Chamber Brothers' "Time Has Come Today")

We return to Daylight Saving time at 2 a.m. Sunday.

That’s when clocks that automatically make the change will move ahead one hour.

For clocks that don’t do it automatically, it’s up to you to set then ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night or when you wake up Sunday morning.

The idea is to provide more daylight in the evening hours.

Sunlight continues to increase until the summer solstice in late June.

We’ll get the hour back in early November, when Standard Time returns.
