An office building that served a historic plant in Evansville is facing demolition

A piece of Evansville history is meeting the wrecking ball. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The office building next to the former Graham Brothers Truck Company, later Chrysler-Plymouth, and Hahn Industries is being torn down.

But officials say the demolition will not include the former plant along Maxwell Avenue that not only produced automobiles but enormous amounts of ammunition during World War II.

The Plymouth plant closed in 1959 and Hahn moved in.

Much of the plant is now home to Escalade Sports.

The old office building being demolished is in the 1600 block of N. Garvin St.
