Felon Facing New Drug Dealing Charges

VCSO
Anthony Michael Stepro, 50

Authorities arrested Anthony Michael Stepro, 50, after they say meth, pot, and a loaded gun were found in his house on Evansville's West Side

An Evansville man is back behind bars, accused of dealing illegal drugs. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force says it received information in January that 50-year-old Anthony Michael Stepro was selling meth from his home in the 2100 block of West Delaware Street.

Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause to obtain a search warrant for Stepro’s residence.

They stopped Stepro as he was leaving the home Thursday (Feb. 12) and began a search.

Detectives say they found more than 350 grams of suspected methamphetamine, about 27 grams of suspected marijuana, and a loaded handgun.

Stepro has a prior federal conviction for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, as well as previous state convictions for Dealing Meth.

Officers took him to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he faces new charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.
