Authorities say they’ve arrested seven people in a major drug trafficking probe in the Owensboro area. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Owensboro Police say a months-long investigation led to search warrants being served at nine locations in the city, as well as locations in Masonville and Utica.
Investigators says they seized a “significant quantity of illegal narcotics” including methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana; nearly 30 firearms; vehicles; cash; and other property believed to be connected to drug trafficking.
Five of the seven people arrested face a charge of Engaging in Organized Crime as well as numerous drug-related charges.
The OPD says more charges are expected.
