Jury Recommends Life Without Parole For Richmond

File

A judge will decide the sentence for Larry Richmond Sr., 46, Jan. 7th, after a jury convicted him of killing an Evansville, IN firefighter

The jury that convicted a man of killing an Evansville firefighter is recommending a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. WNIN's John Gibson has details:

The recommendation for 46-year-old Larry Richmond Sr. followed a day of testimony in Vanderburgh Circuit Court Thursday.
The judge set sentencing for January 7th.

Richmond was convicted Wednesday night of fatally shooting firefighter Robert Doerr in 2019.

Doerr’s wife, Elizabeth Fox-Doerr, was convicted in an earlier trial for her role in the killing and was sentenced to 90 years in prison.
