NWS: Cold Blast To Move In Late This Week

NWS Paducah

The coldest air of the season (so far) is expected to reach the Evansville area by the weekend

Forecasters are warning of a blast of bitter cold weather later this week. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

A polar vortex is expected to bring the coldest air of the season – so far -- to the Tri-State by the end of the week.

By Friday night, the National Weather Service is predicting low temperatures in the range of 10-to-15 degrees, and high temperatures in the 20’s Saturday and Sunday.

Wind chills will make it feel even colder.

There’s no word of any significant snowfall in the forecast but the National Weather Service says snow showers are possible Thursday and Friday.
