The Evansville Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force says officers arrested Keonta Barton, 48, and Andre Sherman, 47, after traffic stops turned up illegal drugs and a weapon

Police have arrested two men on multiple drug dealing charges. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Detectives with the Evansville Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force arrested 48-year-old Keonta Barton and 47-year-old Andre Sherman after traffic stops.

Evansville Police say a K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside Barton’s vehicle.

Investigators say a search turned up nearly a quarter-pound of cocaine and one pound of marijuana.

Detectives then executed a search warrant on Barton’s residence, where they say nearly two pounds of cocaine was seized, as well as more than 30 pounds of pot.

They say they found more evidence of narcotics dealing inside Barton’s home. He faces charges of Dealing Cocaine and Dealing Marijuana.

As a part of the same investigation, detectives stopped Sherman for a traffic violation and say they found five pounds of pot and a firearm.

Sherman is charged with Dealing Marijuana.
