The Evansville area could see its first measurable snow of the season Monday night. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
On this first day of meteorological winter, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southwest Indiana and western Kentucky.
It goes into effect at 6 p.m. and runs until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters are calling for up to two inches of snow with some sleet possibly mixed in during the evening hours.
The weather service says roads – especially bridges and overpasses – will likely become “slick and hazardous.”
Forecasters say the snow could impact Tuesday morning’s commute.
They urge drivers to slow down and be cautious in the winter weather.
