The estate of Bobby Norman has filed a federal lawsuit nearly 2 years after Norman's death in the Vanderburgh County, IN jail

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office faces a federal lawsuit over the death of a man in the county jail nearly two years ago. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The family of 61-year-old Bobby Norman of Boonville filed the suit naming the sheriff's office and the jail's contracted healthcare provider.

Norman died after 13 days in the Vanderburgh County jail in October 2023.

A forensic pathologist determined he died from complications of cardiovascular disease.

But Norman’s estate alleges he received inadequate care while being held in the jail.

The lawsuit says Norman disclosed his health conditions when he was booked into the facility.
