Area Could See Season's First Frost

NWS Paducah

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Thursday morning in the Evansville area; a better chance is expected Friday morning

The Evansville area may see its first frost of the season this week. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory in effect from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Thursday.

Forecasters say temperatures as low as 36 will create frost, especially in low-lying areas.

The weather service is predicting a more widespread frost Friday morning.

Forecasters say the frosty conditions could harm or kill sensitive outdoor plants.

The potential frost will be followed chances of rain – not snow – this weekend.
