Indiana State Police arrested four persons in Vincennes on charges of dealing heroin

A car stop in Vincennes led to the arrest of four people on charges of dealing heroin. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police say a trooper stopped the car that was driving down the middle of 15th Street in Vincennes early Thursday.

The ISP says four people were inside the car and suspicious circumstances led troopers to remove the occupants and conduct a K-9 search.

Police say the dog alerted troopers to the presence of illegal narcotics and they found more than 20 grams of suspected heroin, about 240 syringes, more than 50 glass smoking pipes, a small amount of methamphetamine, and more than 12-hundred dollars in cash.

State Police arrested 30-year-old Mariah Lewis, 29-year-old Bryce Cummings, 33-year-old Kandace Hawkins, and 26-year-old Sarah Liddle, all from Vincennes.

Lewis was wanted on a warrant for Child Neglect.

All four suspects face preliminary charges of Dealing Heroin and possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
