We need the rain, but forecasters say some storms could be severe this week. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The National Weather Service measured more than two inches of rain at Evansville Regional Airport Monday, as the region deals with a drought.
The rain has also brought intense lightning and high winds, but the storms have stayed below severe limits.
Now, forecasters say the Tri-State faces a marginal risk of severe storms, at least until a cold front passes Wednesday afternoon.
The weather service says the storms could include large hail and high winds.
Meanwhile, chances for needed rain continue through Thursday with a sunny, mild forecast for the weekend.
