Fall officially arrived at 1:19 Monday afternoon. As WNIN’s John Gibson reports, the new season is bringing with it needed rain:
Much of Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey counties, as well as portions of western Kentucky are in a moderate drought.
But the National Weather Service has showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through Friday, calling it a “welcomed respite” from the dry conditions.
Forecasters say the strongest storms will be capable of gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning – but they don’t expect to activate storm spotters.
Forecasters say many locations in the Tri-State will likely see more than two inches of rain.
