Suspect's Body Exhumed in Teague Probe

File

Kentucky State Police exhumed the body of Marty Dill from a Henderson, KY cemetery; he was suspected in the 1995 disappearance of Heather Teague

Kentucky State Police have exhumed the body of the man suspected in the disappearance of Heather Teague 30 years ago. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Authorities exhumed the body of Marty Dill from Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson one day before the 30th anniversary of Teague’s disappearance.

KSP Trooper Corey King told media outlets it was for "DNA purposes" connected to the Teague investigation.

Teague disappeared from Newburgh Beach, on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, in 1995.

A man watching the beach through a telescope told police he saw a man with a gun drag the 23-year-old Teague away.

An investigation led police to Dill, who shot and killed himself before authorities could arrest him at his home five days later.

Heather Teague has never been found.

Her mother, Sarah Teague, filed a federal lawsuit against state police and the FBI in 2024.
