Officials say more than 850-thousand vehicles were stolen in the U.S. last year.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office urges you to “lock out crime” by following some simple tips.
They include parking in well-lit areas, closing and locking all doors and windows, and keeping valuables out of sight.
Also, don’t leave your keys in the vehicle; and never leave an unattended vehicle running.
