Sheriff’s deputies have found a missing juvenile hiding in an Evansville motel. As WNIN’s John Gibson reports, deputies also arrested an adult wanted on felony warrants:
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says the girl was located inside the One Life Hotel on N. Fares Avenue early Thursday.
Deputies say she briefly opened the door and quickly closed it.
Eventually, deputies say a man opened the door and was identified as 26-year-old Christopher Gamble of Evansville.
The sheriff’s office says Gamble had multiple active felony warrants, including charges related to child molestation.
Deputies say they ultimately found the missing juvenile hiding inside the room’s ceiling tiles.
Both were taken into custody.
The sheriff’s office says Gamble was advised of his rights and agreed to speak with investigators.
He faces charges of Assisting a Criminal, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Parole Violation.
More charges are expected.
