A man who authorities say fled to Europe after a fatal shooting has been returned to Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
28-year-old Samuel Huggler of Rockport is charged with murder for the December 2021 shooting that killed 18-year-old Olivia Huggler and wounded two others in the 800 block of Kirkwood Drive.
Authorities say Samuel Huggler had hired Daniel Alvey to kill two people.
Alvey accepted a plea deal in 2023 and was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
The charges against Samuel Huggler were dismissed in 2022 but re-filed in 2024.
Sheriff Noah Robinson says Huggler’s extradition is complete and he’s been booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
