Thefts were reported on multiple parking lots

Authorities are investigating late night vehicle break-ins on the UE campus. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The university says incidents were reported in multiple parking lots.

Items were also taken from a vehicle near the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house.

UE says Evansville Police were notified and are actively investigating.

The university says the safety and security of the campus community is a top priority.

Officials urge students and staff to stay vigilant, lock vehicles, and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight.

If students see suspicious activity, they’re asked to contact UE’s Office of Public Safety at 812-488-2051 – or dial 9-1-1.

Anyone with more information on the break-ins is urged to call the EPD at 812-435-6135.
