An Evansville man faces multiple charges after authorities say he had illegal drugs and guns in his car. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped a Mercedes-Benz that was failing to maintain its lane on Highway 41 late Wednesday night.
The deputy identified the driver as 52-year-old Larry Ames of Evansville.
The officer said Ames appeared to be impaired.
During the investigation, Gibson County Central Dispatch advised that Ames was on parole through the Indiana Department of Corrections.
The sheriff’s office says the deputy recovered two guns, more than 200 grams methamphetamine, and other illegal drugs from Ames’ vehicle.
He was taken to the Gibson County Jail.
Ames faces numerous charges, including Possession of Meth, Dealing Meth, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon,
