Fire Damages Farm Building

The blaze broke out in the 20,100 block of Old Princeton Road Thursday morning

Volunteer firefighters extinguished a blaze at a farm in northern Vanderburgh County.

Scott Township crews were dispatched to the farm in the 20-thousand, one-hundred block of Old Princeton Road at about 6:20 Thursday morning.

The caller said a building housing pigs was on fire, and that a man got at least some of the animals out.

The first firefighters on the scene reported a working fire.

They extinguished the flames in about 15 minutes.

It’s not clear if any animals were lost in the blaze.

There was no word of injuries to people.

There’s also no word yet on how the fire started.
