An unlicensed Evansville man is the latest driver accused of triple-digit speed on I-69. WNIN's John Gibson has the story:
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy stopped the driver of a pickup truck last weekend traveling southbound on Interstate 69 in excess of 100 mph.
The deputy was able to stop the vehicle near State Road 168 and identified the driver as 23 year old Kelvin Rivera of Evansville.
Rivera was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Reckless Driving and operating without ever having a driver’s
license.
Three other individuals in the truck were released.
Law enforcement has clocked drivers reaching triple-digit speeds on rural stretches of I-69 since the highway opened in southwest Indiana.
