We hope to learn soon the identity of a person struck and killed by a vehicle in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
It happened Saturday evening at the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Stringtown Road.
Police say two pedestrians were trying to cross Diamond when a westbound truck hit one of them.
Authorities say the second pedestrian saw the truck coming and stopped but the other was not able to get out of the way.
First responders attempted life saving measures, but the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released yet. No one else was injured.
There’s no word of any charges against the driver.
