After a bigger-than-expected snowfall Sunday morning, a potentially bigger snow event is on the horizon. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Tri-State.
It goes into effect Tuesday morning and runs through Wednesday morning.
Forecasters are predicting 3-to-5 inches of snow, causing potentially hazardous road conditions during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
The weather service is also warning of dangerously cold weather.
Temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing through the work week, with single-digit lows Thursday morning and sub-zero wind chills.
