Authorities have released the name of the Evansville woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 66-year-old JTanya Kuria was killed in Saturday evening’s accident at Diamond Avenue and Stringtown Road.
Police say Kuria and another pedestrian were trying to cross Diamond when a westbound truck hit Kuria.
Authorities say the second pedestrian saw the truck coming and stopped but Kuria was not able to get out of the way.
First responders attempted life saving measures, but she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was injured.
There was no word of any charges against the driver.
