Explore Evansville has announced a new leader. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The tourism group says Tom White has been chosen its new president and CEO, effective March 3rd.
He succeeds Alexis Berggren, who stepped down at the end of 2024 to pursue a new opportunity in North Carolina.
Explore Evansville describes White as a seasoned tourism and hospitality executive with more than 30 years of industry experience.
White joins Explore Evansville from Visit Mobile, where he served as Vice President of Convention and Leisure Sales in Mobile, Alabama.
In a release, Explore Evansville Board Chair Mackenzie Black cites White’s “extensive background in tourism, destination marketing, and sales leadership.”
White says he’s “honored and excited” to join Explore Evansville.
He says the city has “incredible potential as a destination” and he looks forward to elevating the city’s tourism industry and creating “meaningful economic impact.”
