Forecasters have issued a Flood Watch for the Tri-State. As WNIN’s John Gibson reports, it goes into effect early Thursday morning and continues through early Friday morning:
The National Weather Service is predicting widespread amounts of one-and-half to two-and-a-half inches of rain.
Forecasters say some areas could see three-to-four inches.
The weather service says the heavy rain may cause flooding of rivers, creeks, and other low-lying areas.
People living in flood-prone spots should be ready to take action if a flood warning is issued.
The immediate Evansville area is near the northern edge of the Flood Watch zone.
