Forecasters are warning of dangerously cold air moving into the Tri-State this weekend. WNIN’S John Gibson reports:
Before the cold blast, we should see a warm-up and rain that will help melt more of the snow and ice.
But the National Weather Service says it will be followed by an extended period of dangerous cold that’s expected to begin Sunday and continue through Wednesday.
Forecasters are calling for sub-zero wind chills both Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Daytime wind chill values will be in the single digits or teens during the period.
The weather service says organizations that work with the homeless population should prepare for the dangerous cold.
There’s no word of any snow or ice expected with the cold blast.
