Police are looking for Austin Schepers, 33

Police are looking for a man who shot a sheriff’s deputy in southern Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police have issued a Blue Alert for 33-year-old Austin Schepers following the overnight shooting in Orange County.

The ISP says the suspect vehicle has been found in the Orangeville area but Schepers remains at large.

Police urge anyone who notices a vehicle missing or someone walking in that area to call 9-1-1.

The ISP is also urging residents in Orange County to keep doors and windows locked.

Police say Schepers should be considered armed and dangerous.

He’s described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair with hazel eyes, a tattoo of a cross under his left eye, and multiple tattoos around his neck.

There’s no word on the name or condition of the wounded deputy.
