Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting in Evansville that wounded one person. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
It happened during the noon hour Sunday in the 600 block of Jackson Avenue.
Evansville Police say a group of juveniles -- and an 18-year-old -- were walking and riding bicycles on Jackson when a dark colored vehicle approached.
The EPD says shots were fired out of the passenger window and the 18-year-old was wounded in the leg.
He was taken to a hospital with what police called non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the shooter knew the wounded teen and that it was not a random act.
Detectives ask anyone with information or surveillance footage to call Evansville Police at 812-436-7979 or the EPD Tip Line at 812-435-6194.
