Halloween has just passed but it’s already starting to look like Christmas in Downtown Evansville. WNIN’s has details:
Crews began installing decorations along Main St. on Friday.
The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District says it’s the seventh year the group has decorated the streets and pedestrian corridors.
Decorations are funded by property owners within the Improvement District.
The EID says the archway decoration at Main Street and 2nd streets has been refreshed after several years of weathering.
The archway includes a pair of 12-foot tall nutcrackers.
Other decorations include a 12-foot snowflake outside the Arts Council gallery in the 200 block of Main and a tunnel of lights at Old National Bank’s headquarters at Main and Riverside.
Mayor Stephanie Terry will light city’s Christmas tree November 30th in front of the Civic Center during a new event called Light-Up River City.
