CenterPoint Energy is throwing what it calls an “energy efficiency block party” in Evansville Monday afternoon, Oct. 28th. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The utility company says the event in Lorraine Park features food, music, prizes and games for all ages.
Kids are encouraged to dress up for a best costume contest.
CenterPoint say energy efficiency advisors will be available for parents to discuss energy-saving programs, including the Neighborhood Weatherization Program.
Eligible customers will receive home assessments that may include installing smart thermostats, energy-efficient showerheads, and LED bulbs.
CenterPoint says to date, the weatherization program has helped 38 customers.
The block party is from 3 to 6 p.m. at Lorraine Park off Boeke Road, south of Washington Avenue.
