Two students have been arrested after a handgun was found at Harrison High School. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Evansville Police say students at Harrison reported to the School Resource Officer on Wednesday that a fellow student had a gun.
The EPD says an immediate investigation was conducted in conjunction with the EVSC and the school’s administration.
The student was located but did not have a firearm.
During what police called an exhaustive search, the gun was found hidden in a bathroom.
The juvenile student was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Possession of a Firearm by a Child.
Police say a second juvenile student was also arrested during the investigation for their role with the firearm.
There's no word on the students' intentions.
The EPD says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may be made.
