Justice Dept: Local Meth Ring Dismantled

File

Three suspects were sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty

Authorities say a meth ring in Evansville has been dismantled. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Department of Justice says 66-year-old George Hartley of Evansville and 27-year-old Michael Bravo of Texas have each been sentenced to ten years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Richard Young also sentenced 44-year-old Patricia Latouche of Evansville to 140 months after all three pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Young ordered each of the defendants to also serve five years of supervised release following their release from prison..

Authorities say the trio worked together to distribute more than 30 pounds of meth in the Evansville area.

They say Bravo brought the meth from Texas to his Evansville-based co-conspirators between June and November of 2020.

The DEA and Evansville Police investigated the case.
