Frost Possible Wednesday, Thursday A.M.

NWS Paducah

The weather service is predicting the lowest temperatures since April

The coldest air of the season has arrived in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory that’s in effect from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters say low temperatures in the mid-30’s could create frost that will harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.

They say the frost could even kill sensitive outdoor plants.

The weather service suggests protecting tender plants from the cold.

Frost is possible again Thursday morning before a warmup that’s forecast to lift temperatures into the 70’s this weekend.

There’s no rain in the forecast and officials say much of the Evansville area is “abnormally dry” but has not yet returned to drought conditions.
