A new ramp is expected to open Friday as part of the Ohio River Crossing project. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Officials say the reconfigured ramp will carry traffic from KY 351 to northbound US 41 in Henderson.
Project spokeswoman Mindy Peterson says the ramp is the fourth and final ramp that’s part of a new diamond interchange at 351, 2nd Street and Zion Road.
Peterson says the on and off movements drivers will use are the same ones they’ll use to access the I-69 bridge when work is complete in the area.
Opening the ramp also ends a detour that’s been in place in recent weeks.
Three roundabouts, currently open to a single lane of traffic, are expected to be in their final configuration with two lanes open to traffic by late November.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert and watch for the new traffic pattern.
