The FAA has issued restrictions for the festival on W. Franklin St.

Safety officials say next week’s Fall Festival will be a “no-drone zone.” WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued temporary flight restrictions during the festival on Evansville’s West Side.

The agency says the general public is not allowed to fly drones over any area of the fest from October 6th through the 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm. each day.

Waivers can be applied for only through the FAA.

Authorities say drone operators who conduct unsafe or unauthorized operations can face fines up to $75,000 per violation.

The FAA can also suspend or revoke drone operators’ certificates.
