A student has been arrested in Gibson County accused of making threatening statements at school. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The Sheriff’s Office says a School Resource Officer assigned to Fort Branch Community School received a report of a student making threatening statements during home room period at the beginning of the day yesterday (Thur).
The student was removed from classroom activities and officials conducted searches and safety checks of the school.
There was no word of any danger.
The student was taken into custody and transported to a juvenile detention facility.
Police agencies across the country have reported numerous social media threats in recent days.
