Damage discovered inside a restroom at Mickey's Kingdom on Evansville's riverfront

Police say the damage in a playground restroom was the work of a plumber

It turns out the damage done at a park restroom on Evansville’s riverfront was not vandalism. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The EPD says investigators determined that the last person to enter the Mickey’s Kingdom restroom was a plumber who was scheduled to remove the toilet after a clogging issue.

The toilet was subsequently shattered during the removal.

The plumber locked the door to keep the public out but a maintenance worker later unlocked the door.

EPD Officer Taylor Merriss says she’s happy to report it was a case of miscommunication and not criminal mischief.
