An uncle and his nephew have been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to selling meth. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
37-year-old Michael Jimenez of Newburgh was sentenced to ten years and his nephew, 30-year-old Jordan Jimenez of Evansville, was sentenced to 15 years.
They both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
The younger Jimenez also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute meth.
Court documents say the duo worked together to buy and sell large quantities of meth in southern Indiana between May and July of 2022.
The Department of Justice says Jordan Jimenez obtained pounds of meth from his supply source and then fronted a portion of the meth to his uncle, Michael, who would repay Jordan upon reselling the meth to his customers.
Authorities say the pair frequently acted as a joint business, sharing a customer base and coordinating drug quantities and prices.
Police determined the duo was responsible for distributing at least 20 pounds of the illegal drug.
