The risk of more severe weather continues in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Evansville area, just one day after storms and a possible tornado hit the region.
The latest watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Forecasters say the new storms will be capable of heavy rain and damaging winds.
The watch is among a number of weather-related advisories.
The weather service has upgraded the Heat Advisory to an Excessive Heat Warning. It’s in effect through tomorrow (Thur).
The combination of high temperatures and humidity may push the heat index – or “feels like” temperature -- up to 115.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Saturday.
