A Warrick County man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for dealing meth. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
39-year-old Brian Marchand of Tennyson was also sentenced to five years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to two counts of distribution of methamphetamine.
Police said Marchand was seen selling meth on three separate occasions in Evansville last July.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says analysis determined the drugs distributed by Marchand contained nearly 300 grams of pure methamphetamine.
He was also accused of selling crystal meth from his home in Tennyson.
U.S. Attorney Zachary Myers says meth and other controlled substances have “devastating impacts” on users, their loved ones, and communities.
He says authorities are committed to holding serious traffickers accountable in federal court, “wherever they are found.”
