The Tri-State faces a risk of severe storms and intense heat this week. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The National Weather Service is forecasting storms capable of heavy rain and localized flooding.
Forecasters also say hail and tornadoes can’t be ruled out.
By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to reach the mid to upper 90’s with the heat index well into the triple digits.
The weather service says the heat index will reach or exceed 105 through Friday, with daily chances of showers and thunderstorms.
