A public meeting is scheduled for Monday evening to help drivers be “roundabout ready.” WNIN’s John Gibson explains:
Roundabouts will open soon at the reconstructed KY 351/2nd Street interchange in Henderson as part of the Ohio River Crossing project.
The informational meeting will include a virtual reality station, video simulations, and more.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday at Henderson County High School on Zion Road.
Officials say attendees will also hear about progress that’s been made in Henderson and what to expect the rest of the year.
Construction started in summer 2022 and officials say it’s about 60% complete and will be 75% complete by the end of this year.
Work on Section 1 of the massive bridge project is expected to wrap up in late 2025.
Construction is expected to begin soon in Evansville.
The four-lane Evansville-Henderson bridge is expected to open in 2031.
