Three people have been sentenced to federal prison for operating a meth ring in the Evansville area. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
U.S. District Court Judge Richard Young sentenced 47-year-old Colin January of Evansville to ten years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
January pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and attempted possession with intent to distribute meth.
Judge Young sentenced 41-year-old Patricia Minor to 29 months in federal prison while 57-year-old Blenda Lundburg was sentenced to one year time served following guilty pleas.
According to documents and evidence presented in court, January conspired with others to distribute large quantities of meth in the Evansville area in 2022.
Authorities say a parcel containing more than 1,300 grams of meth was mailed from California to Lundburg’s apartment in Evansville.
U.S. Attorney Zachary Myers praised the work of area law enforcement to get illegal drugs and their “devastating impacts” on users and loved ones off the streets.
