Mother Nature is turning up the heat and humidity in the Tri-State Tuesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory that’s in effect until 8:00 Tuesday evening.
Forecasters are calling for temperatures topping out in the mid-to-upper 90’s, with the heat index – or feels-like temperature -- reaching 105.
They say the conditions may cause heat-related illnesses.
You’re urged to limit time outdoors, stay hydrated, take advantage of air conditioning, and check on relatives and neighbors.
The heat and humidity is expected to give way to showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night and Wednesday followed by milder and less humid weather on Thursday.
